You can buy differently priced airline tickets for three different age groups: babies (2 years or younger), children (2-12 years) and adults (older than 12 years).
Babies on the plane
Babies must be accompanied by an adult while boarding the plane, they cannot travel by themselves. They do not have their own seat on the plane and they should sit in the lap of the parent. The price for the baby’s ticket is usually 10% of the standard adult ticket price.

Your baby must have a travel document (passport). In some countries, it is allowed to travel even with just a birth certificate. However, be sure to check before the flight what are the valid travel documents.
Children under 12 years
In most cases, a ticket for children under the age of 12 is 70% of the standard adult ticket price. If there is a promotion going on, then the adult tickets and the child tickets are the same prices.
Children, unlike babies on board, have a right to both carry-on and checked luggage. The child must have a valid passport and they can travel with or without a guardian. If the child is traveling with a guardian that is not a parent, the guardian has to have written parental consent.
If the child is traveling without a parent or a guardian, when booking the ticket it is mandatory to state the first and the last name, the ID information and the number of the person that is taking the child to the airport, as well as the person who will be picking them up when they land.
Unaccompanied children should carry a bag with complete documentation attached around their neck. Upon arrival at the airport, the person accompanying the child (parent, guardian, authorized escort) should sign the required documentation provided to them by the airline officer. Upon entering the transit zone, the child is escorted by the airport staff, who helps them board the plane.
The parent who has brought the child over to the authorized officer at the departure airport is obliged to remain at the airport until the plane in which their child is departs.

A flight attendant will be waiting for the child on the plane, and will take care of him from then on. They will later bring over to the person waiting for him when the plane lands.
Children of divorced parents
Children whose parents are divorced can travel abroad on their own. They must carry with them the written consent of the parent who is the legal guardian, as well as the written and certified consent of the other parent. The document should be certified by a public notary, in the municipality or in court.
In case the other parent is prevented from giving consent, it is necessary to consult the competent Center for Social Work who will issue the necessary document for you.
Children with one living parent or guardian
If the child has only one parent (the other has passed), in addition to the consent of the living parent, they need to have a copy of the Death Certificate of the parent that has passed.
